Are you a motivated and skilled Data Modeller ready to design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge data models for cloud-based platforms? Join our dynamic team and help shape high-quality data structures that drive impactful solutions for business needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesData Modelling and Standards:
- Develop and apply data modelling and design standards, tools, and best practices.
- Collaborate with data architects to design databases using conceptual and logical models.
- Build and implement RDBMS, ODS, data marts, and data lakes on target platforms (SQL/NoSQL).
- Align data models with business requirements and architecture frameworks.
- Maintain and enhance the Enterprise Logical Data Model to ensure consistency across efforts.
Data Analysis and Mapping:
- Translate business requirements into data requirements through collaboration with stakeholders.
- Profile source data to assess quality, relationships, patterns, and rules.
- Design and document data requirements, including ERD and dimensional models.
- Identify authoritative data sources and address data quality gaps.
- Generate physical data models to optimize database structures.
Data Flow and Standards Compliance:
- Document data flows across systems and interfaces for clarity.
- Enforce standards for document naming, security, and lifecycle management.
- Identify and implement data-driven improvements in business processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or Business Analysis-related fields.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or equivalent certification (advantageous).
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant data modelling experience.
- Proficiency in tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Erwin, SAP Power Designer, or similar.
- Expertise in Entity Relationship Modelling, Physical Database Design, Data Warehousing, and Data Integration.
- Strong understanding of Master Data Management, Metadata, and database concepts.
- Familiarity with data normalisation, relational and dimensional modelling principles.
- Knowledge of Data Management (DMBOK), SDLC, and IT architecture.
Ideal Experience and Skills
- Experience in Canonical Data Modelling.
- Background in banking or financial services environments.
- Proficiency in BI tools and database optimisation.
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to diverse audiences.
- Experience with semi-structured databases is a plus.
